WEEK 7

NOTE: Week 6 was a catchup week with our tutors so no work was set. I just made sure that i was all caught up with week 5s work before continuing onto week 7s tutorial work.

Lighting Fixture 1

Scale 1:20

Lighting Fixture 2

Scale 1:20

From simple to the sublime designs, i experimented with can select shape, size and configuration to create different lighting arrangements to create the living space's personality and points of interest, while enhancing a space with sunlight. This geometric experimentation will be an aspect that will be found throughout my models.

Fusion 260 2.5D Physical Model

Scale 1:20

The 2.5 box model took a lot longer to make than anticipated as i needed to figure out the measurements for each of the faces as well as additionally add the measurements of the facades that would extend out (e.g the front has a smaller box that extends out). It had been a while since i had made a model similar to this however, i found this challenge surprisingly very enjoyable to create. Near the end i found trouble trying to glue the last walls together as the flaps would not stay in place. However, in the small spaces that i had given myself, i used thin toothpicks to hold them in place. Overall this was probably the most successful model that i have created so far.

Fusion 360 Initials Model - MLN

Final Model

The creation of the initials was most likely the most difficult to create. Although at first it was very easy, the part that i found most challenging was creating the shell as my letters had parts that would not allow both sides to become hollow. I had tried adjusting the position of the letters as well as changing the shape of them but i still had the same result. I ended up redrawing two models before my final one worked.
